Welcome!

Starr Digital Technologies, Inc., is the the legal name for Above All Aerial & Specialty Photography - Ohio. We are an Ohio-based certifed DBE and EDGE corporation providing nationwide service.

Did you visit our website because you saw us flying in your area and you're wondering what we were doing? If so - we get it it! We'd be curious, too! Here is a list of things we do that you might have noticed:

    • It's winter. It's cold. It's dark. We're flying back and forth over an area for extended periods of time (sometimes hours!): We are doing an infrared wildlife survey. This is the one that people contact us most about because it's dark, people are generally home, and from the ground it may seem like we're flying over the same spot (or their house...) over and over. In reality, we are flying closely spaced straight flight lines - typically only about 500' apart.

    • It's a nice, clear sunny day. We're flying fairly widely spaced straight lines back and forth in a large area: We are taking lots of photos that will be stitched together to make a photo map.

    • It's a nice, clear sunny day. We're flying 3 or 4 circles around a point: We are taking regular oblique photos of a site for marketing purposes, construction progress documentation, or just taking pretty pictures.

    • It's an overcast, merely OK weather day. We're flying 3 or 4 circles around a point: We are taking regular photos of a site for marketing purposes or construction progress documentation. Sometimes a customer's schedule trumps the desire for great weather...

    • It's a mostly sunny day. We're flying LOTS of circles around a point: We are taking regular photos of a site but we are waiting for a pesky cloud shadow to move off of something important. We are frustrated...

    • It's a warm summer evening, within a couple of hours after sunset. We're making tight circles over a site: We are doing an infrared roof scan, looking for trapped moisture.

    • It's the day of the big game, but we have to work. We're also a little ahead of schedule: We are killing time...

      Script Ohio - go Bucks!

Please note: Whatever we are doing, safety is our number one priority. We are usually in direct contact with air traffic controllers in the area where we are flying. For the times when we aren't talking to them directly, we are always monitoring their radio frequency. When we are doing night time work, we are in constant, direct contact with air traffic controllers for the entire duration of the mission. When we have wildlife surveys scheduled, we take the additional step of giving the local police and/or sheriff's department a heads up just in case anyone calls them with concerns.
